Download Help and Usage Terms

Choose a resource by its file label, rather than by its preview image. This guide explains the downloads hosted by WordTemplatesPro and the separate references linked from other websites.

Usage terms for our original templates

Original templates created for WordTemplatesPro may be used for private, non-commercial purposes. This permission does not cover commercial use. Links to third-party resources do not grant rights to those files; check the terms supplied by their respective owners.

Choose the right file

LabelWhat to expect
Word (.docx)An editable document. Open it in Microsoft Word, replace the example text and check the print layout.
Excel (.xlsx)An editable workbook. Enter your data in the indicated input cells and keep calculation cells intact.
Preview imageA picture showing the layout. An image on its own is not an editable Word document or workbook.
ZIP archiveA package containing one or more files. Extract it and check the actual file formats before use.
Original source pageA link to another website. Availability, file formats and usage terms can change there.

Work with a Word template

  1. Save a copy of the .docx file and open it in Microsoft Word.
  2. Replace names, dates, example entries and placeholders.
  3. Review text wrapping, page size, margins and any signature fields.
  4. Use Print Preview before printing or exporting your completed copy.

Other document editors may change fonts, line breaks or table spacing. Review the layout in the software you will use.

Work with an Excel template

  1. Save a separate copy of the workbook.
  2. Identify the input cells and read any notes on the sheet.
  3. Replace example entries, keeping dates, currencies and units consistent.
  4. Check a simple example against a manual calculation before relying on totals.

A formula calculates from the values and assumptions entered. It does not verify the underlying data or establish financial, employment or legal requirements.

If a link does not work

Return to the article and check whether the link is a direct file or an external source page. If comments are available, report the article title, the download label and what happened. Do not include private information or completed documents. An unavailable source may leave a useful preview, but a preview should not be treated as a working download.
